Having kept a mental ear on the raffle, when the announcer began, Elysia gave a start and then tugged on her friend once more. "It's starting!" She exclaimed and then began to hurry back toward that booth and those mystery eggs that were going to be handed out. She waited impatiently, feet practically bouncing on her tiptoes as she strained to hear the man calling out names, and when she finally heard her own, Elys gave a soft squeal of delight as she wriggled through the crowd to reach the table. The officiant handed her not one, but both of the strange eggs and the femme bluerider looked down at them with awe and she cradled them both carefully in her hands. The next name was quite familiar, and soon enough the zultaniterider was pressing in beside her once more, a smile on his face as he too accepted one of each egg.
Eyslia's smile beamed even brighter as she regarded Keetin, the child within her heart wriggling on the surface now as the young woman was far too delighted that words couldn't even describe it. Action spoke louder and she gave Keetin another tug on his sleeve, pulling him out of the crowd and she didn't stop until they were on the edges of the Gather were it was a littler quieter. She wanted to hug him, to embrace him with her delight, but she was far too careful with these new eggs and instead leaned in to place a quick kiss on his cheek so she wouldn't squish the eggs. "Can you believe it?? I can't wait to see what's inside. Oh Faranth, this is so exciting!" Elys exclaimed breathlessly and then eyes went wide as she remembered something. "OH! We need food for them." The bluerider said with a start and looked back into the throng of the Gather. At the mention of food, her own stomach growled and she was reminded that she hadn't eaten since breakfast either. "Maybe we all do." The bluerider added with a softer chuckle, then prepared herself to dive back into the Gather.
A short time later, they had procured a full plethora of delights to share between each other and of course the most important, a piled of braised beast to feed their newest pets once they emerged. Moving toward the outskirts of the Gather once more, Elysia found them a spot on a grassy knoll that was raised a little so they had a view on either side of them, of the hustle and bustle of the festivities, or the array of lounging dragonkin in the field beside them. Elys plopped herself down and tucked the eggs carefully into her lap, keeping them warm and safe until they were ready. "How long do you think it will be?" She asked of Keetin as she popped a piece of fruit into her mouth, chewing thoughtfully.
