Wanting to cry but unable to produce anymore tears.
Not knowing they would come in droves when they arrived.
The spot was familiar to her, as it would be anyone else who had been through the same situation. It was hard to miss besides. The stench of ichor filled the air, the stench of blood even fainter. It was clear something had taken place in this location, but there was a problem that was hard to miss. There was no wher on the ground, though it was clear something large had been there.
"He... He was right there." Shiravani shook, looking at the very empty space that now rested there. "He... He's gone. All of him is gone." Meaning head, soul, heart, there was nothing left of Roavani, not even his body. She scrambled to the ground, found paw prints in the ichor-mucked ground suggesting felines had been through here. It was the only suggestion of what might have happened, and it was too much for her to handle.
Her mind shattered, the pieces held together but fragile wisps that could be sliced by even the most jarring of incidents from the moment forward. With some convincing she was able to be drawn onto Pacaran's back for the return trip to the Weyr, but after that, she would never be able to look at one again.
By the end of the sevenday, perhaps because of the state her mind was in, she vanished from the Weyr. All that was missing besides herself were a few of her things, her marks, and her pets. She left no note, no indication that she would return. She had simply wandered out of New Atricis and into the wild, her future unclear.
